Introducing our new General Manager – Partnerships & Distribution, Ciaran O’Gorman

StockCo is excited to announce that Ciaran O’Gorman has joined the team as our new General Manager – Partnerships & Distribution. Based in Sydney, Ciaran will provide a national presence to our customers.
Having grown up in the agricultural industry, Ciaran loves that no day is the same due to the constant evolution and progression in the industry. Ciaran finds it incredibly rewarding to work with so many great people across the industry and loves the collective understanding that those working across the sector are contributing to Australian and global food security.
Not only does Ciaran possess a great deal of agricultural knowledge, but he also brings with him an extensive background in the financial sector. He has amassed 15 years of experience in agribusiness, with roles spanning finance, innovation, livestock and agency. For the past three and a half years he has been the General Manager of McCulloch Agencies in Northern NSW, managing a team of 30 spread across 5 offices.
Ciaran thoroughly enjoyed his previous role but chose to join StockCo for the opportunity to work with our amazing people. “I have been lucky enough to work closely with many of the team in the last 3 years, during which I have witnessed the professionalism and most importantly a practical and common-sense approach that has always focused on the best outcome for the client” he says.
Ciaran is looking forward to supporting our customers and getting to know them and their business, to help them address the challenges that lay ahead. “I try to never underestimate what our clients might have on their plate that we can’t see. Their priorities may not always align with ours and therefore it’s imperative that we pick up the phone and talk. We are in a unique position where we can make a very real contribution to their profitability” he says.
“Many of our clients are experiencing some of the toughest trading conditions we’ve seen in recent times. But this also presents a great opportunity to reset and trade through. The spread on some trades now is as good as it has been for some time”.
When Ciaran isn’t hard at work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, and travelling.
